ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น ในระดับนี้นักเรียนจะเรียน 3 ปีก่อนเข้าเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย วิชาเรียนระดับนี้มีความละเอียดมากขึ้น ครูผู้สอนต้องมีความเชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะวิชา ส่วนครูประจำชั้นทำหน้าที่เพิ่มขึ้นคือ คอยชี้แนะให้นักเรียนสามารถผ่านระดับนี้ และพร้อมเรียนในระดับสูงขึ้น
Junior High School, At this level, students study for 3 years before entering upper secondary school. The subjects at this level are more detailed. Teachers must have expertise in certain subjects. The homeroom teacher plays an additional role in guiding students to pass this level and preparing them for a higher level.
